Overview of new graphs in Lexia-ease of interpretation and analysis for programming!

Lexia has recently updated their web-based interface. What was once basic progress, and identification of areas of need, has now been transformed into a RTI-esque knowledge base. WIth a couple of clicks you can find out a wealth of information about your students.

Here’s how to check your reports:
Go to http://www.mylexia.com
Enter your login information

Your home page looks similar to this one (minus the WWII Censorship black lines):

By scrolling down the page. you will see an overview of your class:

This is great for a quick “status of my class” look at how students are doing within Lexia.

If you notice there are little “Detail” magnifying glasses in each of the homepage sections. By clicking on one of these “Detail” buttons, another window opens which provides you with more information about your students.

You can also click on the “Reports” tab which will allow you to choose which reports you’d like to view- class, student, usage, progress. What I like best about the new progress feature is that it is more visual. You can clearly see where a student is within Lexia. Lexia now correlates in a clear manner grade levels to programming levels. This is good information for teachers,as parents will often times ask this question. Lexia also uses terminology to describe accuracy, and benchmarks.

Lexia also offers recommendations as to what lessons and skill builders to use with students should additional instruction be needed. Check out those resources by clicking on the “instructor” or “worksheet” icons, or by clicking on the Teacher Resources tab on your homepage in Lexia.

I’m pleased with the new format of reporting. The information is easy to find and interpret, and teachers can use the information to quickly make programming decisions on their class or students.
